If you're having problems with your connection. Toggle the airplane mode on and off in your iOS/Android/Windows settings. Test your internet connection by going to a random site. Swith to a different Wi-Fi connection if that doesn't work. Or maybe try switching to using your data plan. Try finding another person on kik usernames to chat with, to make sure it is not your friend that is having problems.
Make sure that the people you're talking to aren't muted, if you're having problems with your sound. You can unmute users by tapping on their video chat bubble. Check your iOS/Android/Windows settings to make sure your Kik app has the correct permissions to use the microphone.
For video problems you can check your iOS/Android/Windows phone settings to make sure that Kik can use your camera. If this does not work, then force close the app and then open it again.
Other things you can try are:
- Restarting your device
- Updating your Kik app
- Updating the operating system / software on your phone
